YORK, PA – The York College volleyball squad enters the 2019 Capital Athletic Conference tournament looking to reverse their late season fortunes. The Spartans head to Buena Vista, Virginia on Tuesday evening to face the fourth-seeded Southern Virginia University Knights. The Green and White enters the opening round of the tournament riding a five match losing streak as the end of the season hasn't been kind to York.

The Spartans, who are the tournament's fifth seed, have struggled with injuries over the final month of the season. The Spartans started October with a pair of wins but went 1-7 over their final eight games of the regular season.

Southern Virginia enters the tournament with a mark of 15-12 as they finished 4-6 in the CAC. The Knights and Spartans split their two matches this year with York earning a 3-1 win at home on October 5 and SVU picking up a 3-0 win in Buena Vista on October. 19
