Red Devils Blank Spartans on Wednesday in Carlisle

CARLISLE, PA – The York College volleyball team dropped their third straight decision as they fell to Dickinson College 3-0 in non-conference action on Wednesday night in Carlisle. The Red Devils are now 2-0 against the Green and White after opening the year with a 3-2 victory at the Battlefield Classic in Gettysburg.

York is now 25-12 against Dickinson as the Spartans have lost two straight … the Spartans hit a season-low .040 in the loss as their 28 kills were their lowest total of the campaign … York had six service aces, tying their season-low set on August 31 against McDaniel … York's 35 digs were a season-low … York recorded just three total blocks in the match … York is playing without the services of senior Hannah Siaurusaitis who missed her second consecutive game due to injury … junior Tyler Williams led York with nine kills, tying her second highest total of the season while it was one behind her season-high of 10 against Salve Regina … freshman setter Abby Diehl handed out a team-high 14 assists as she has reached double figures in assists in all ten of her collegiate matches … junior libero Emily Pupo reached double figures in digs in her tenth consecutive match for the year.

The Spartans head to Dallas, Pennsylvania to partake in the Misericordia Cougar Clash at Misericordia University. The Spartans face Cortland and Valley Forge on Friday. The Cortland match kicks off at 6:00 pm followed by the Valley Forge match at 8.
