YORK, PA - York College senior outside hitter Brooke Krebs has been named the Capital Athletic Conference Volleyball Player of the Week as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.
Krebs had a big week in leading York to three wins in four matches including a 3-1 win over Salisbury on Wednesday, clinching the three seed for the upcoming CAC tournament.
In the win over the Sea Gulls, Krebs banged out 15 kills while she added 11 digs with a solo block as she scored a team-high 16 points.
York went on the road for their final three regular season matches at the Eastern University Tournament. The Spartans had their five match win streak snapped with a 3-1 loss to a 22-5 Eastern University squad. Krebs registered 13 kills, one assist, seven digs and a block assist in the loss. She bounced back with 11 kills, an assist, and 10 digs in the 3-2 win over Arcadia. Krebs closed out her week with 14 kills and 13 digs in the 3-1 win over McDaniel to close out the regular season.
For the week, Krebs averaged 3.12 kills in 17 sets while she also averaged 2.41 digs per set. Krebs had 54.5 points in the Spartans' four matches.
