Spartan Women Kick Off 2019-20 with Tri-Match at F&M

LANCASTER, PA – The York College women's swim squad opened their 2019-20 season with a trip to Franklin & Marshall College to face off against the host Diplomats and the Widener Pride. The Spartans split the tri-match, besting Widener 158-104 but falling to Franklin & Marshall 170-91.

Senior NCAA qualifier Justine Wantz picked up where she left off last winter as she notched a pair of wins in the backstroke events. Junior Alyssa Coon earned York's other individual win as she captured victory in the 100 fly.

Junior Maggie Stein earned a pair of top three finishes on the day as she was second in the 100 free and third in the 200 free.

The Spartans return to the pool on Saturday, October 26 when they head to Salisbury University to open their Capital Athletic Conference schedule against the Sea Gulls. The meet is slated for a 1:00 pm start in Salisbury, Maryland.
