Six Spartans Notch Wins as Spartans Swim Past Sea Gulls

YORK, PA – The York College women's swim squad picked up their first conference win of the year as they downed Salisbury University 121-75 in a Capital Athletic Conference meet in York on Saturday afternoon. The Spartans improve to 3-1 overall and 1-1 in the CAC.

York had six different Spartans record individual wins while the reigning CAC Women's Swimmer of the Week, Justine Wantz, picked up two wins for the Green and White.

York swam the 500 freestyle, the 100 breaststroke and the 400 freestyle relay as exhibition events as the meet had long since been decided … junior Justine Wantz now leads the Spartans with four individual wins for the season … Madeline Mann and Adrianna Ayala now have two individual wins … Andrea Sturgis, Alyssa Coon, and Margaret Stein each picked up their first individual wins of the year in the meet.

The Spartans return to action next Saturday when they travel to St. Mary's College to face the Seahawks in a Capital Athletic Conference match. The action is slated for a 1:00 pm start in St. Mary's City.
