Head Coach Duane Bastress had three individuals also earn NWCA All-Academic honors. Seniors Frankie Krauss, Joe Sindoni, and Dylan Nuttall also earned spots on the NWCA All-Academic team. Bastress had had seven wrestlers in the last two seasons earn spots on the All-Academic team with Krauss and Sindoni making another appearance after earning the honor last season. In addition to the strong performance in the classroom, the Spartans had another season on the mat with a dual meet record of 14-3 and sent three wrestlers to the national tournament.

"Frankie has been one of our hardest workers since he arrived here at York both on the mat and in the classroom," head coach Duane Bastress said, "this year was no different as he was named a NCAA Division III Scholar All-American for the second consecutive year."

Sindoni had a 14-4 senior record and finished his Spartan career with 59 total wins. Sindoni had five pins which was tied for second-most on the team for the year with one of those pins coming at the NCAA Division III Southeast Regional tournament at 174 pounds.

"I could not be more proud of Joe being named a two-time Scholar All-American," said Bastress, "Joe has been a tremendous leader for us both on and off the mat and being recognized as a two-time NCAA Division III Scholar All-American is great."

Nuttall finished his Spartan career with 46 wins including 13 this season with four pins. Nuttall earned a bid to the national championships after finishing 3rd at the Southeast Regional at 125 pounds. Nuttall was a two-time national qualifier.

"I am extremely proud of how Dylan has become a vital part of this program both on and off the mat over the last three years at York," Bastress said, "him being named a Division III Scholar All-American is just icing on the cake."

The three Spartans who earned All-Academic honors end their Spartan career on a high note both in the classroom and on the mat as they combined for 194 wins and four national tournament appearances.
