YORK, PA. - Spartan freshman outfielder Natalie Decena was named the Capital Athletic Conference Player of the Week as announced by the league office on Monday morning.
Decena hit .455 for the week going 5-for-11 with a pair of doubles and three RBI. Decena also scored three runs and stole two bases for the Green and White.
To start the week, Decena went 1-for-2 with an RBI double in a game one loss to Elizabethtown. Decena also walked and scored in the contest. In game two, she kept rolling going 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored at the plate. Decena also stole a base in the game two victory for the Spartans.
To round out the week, Decena picked up a pair of hits, including a double, while scoring one run, driving in one run, and stealing another base in the CAC split with Frostburg State on Friday.
Decena is hitting .333 on the season with one homer, 5 RBI, 17 runs scored, and 13 stolen bases. Her 13 stolen bases rank fourth in the conference this season.
