Spartan Men Fall to Mary Washington on Friday

YORK, PA – The York College men's tennis team dropped a 6-0 Capital Athletic Conference decision to the University of Mary Washington on Friday at the Wisehaven Tennis Center in York.

The Eagles improve to 14-3 overall and 4-0 in the conference while the Spartans fall to 7-6 overall and 1-3 in the league. The match was played inside due to the rain in York. The match was played to decision and the doubles matches were not contested as the singles results determined the match.

The Eagles swept the six singles matches with three of the matches being 6-0, 6-0. Joel Hess dropped the second singles match 6-2, 6-0 while Lukas Olson also earned a pair of games in the third singles match as he fell 6-2, 6-0.

The Spartans return to action on Sunday afternoon as they host St. Mary's in a Capital Athletic Conference match. The match is slated for a 1:00 pm start.
