GREENSBORO, NC – York College swimmer Keven Stahl completed a highly successful sophomore season with a second All-American finish at the 2019 NCAA Division III Championships in Greensboro, North Carolina on Saturday.
Stahl, who earned All-American honors with his 14th place finish on Wednesday in the 500 meter freestyle, picked up a second All-American finish as he placed 12th in the 1650 meter freestyle on Saturday at the final day of the championships.
Stahl swam in the morning of the timed finals of the event and was the fifth highest finisher prior to the evening session in which eight swimmers would compete. Stahl was able to pick up one place as he earned the 12th place finish with a time of 15:44.56.
Stahl is now a three-time All-American in his first two years in the Green and White. Stahl finished 14th last year at the championships in Indianapolis with a time of 15:53.34.
Stahl is just the second Spartan men's swimmer to pick up multiple All-American honors at the Division III National Championships.
Stahl finished his sophomore year with 24 individual race wins as well as a trio of individual wins at the 2019 Capital Athletic Conference championships.
Stahl is slated to return to the pool next fall as he will lead a strong crew of returning swimmers after the Spartans went 5-2 during the dual meet season followed by a second place finish at the CAC Championships.
