LANCASTER, PA – The York College men's swim squad closed out their stay at the 2018 Franklin & Marshall College Invitational on Sunday night in Lancaster, PA.
The Spartans finished fifth of 11 teams as they totaled 738.5 points. The University of Mary Washington captured the team championship with 1,413.5 points as they cruised past the host Diplomats. F&M finished with 1,099.5 points followed by Division I Mount St. Mary's (1,036 points) and Washington & Lee (992 points).
Sophomore All-American Keven Stahl had a big weekend as he posted three individual victories for the weekend. Junior Tyler Maggio also swam well this weekend with two third place finishes at the Invitational.

Weekend Relay Finishes
Sophomore Keven Stahl now has 11 first place finishes for the year as he leads the squad by eight wins … Stahl's time of 4:35.61 in the 500 bested his own previous best time of 4:43.55 which had been the best mark in the Capital Athletic Conference … that time was already 10 seconds better than the next time in the league … his 500 free time ranks him fourth in the nation in the event … Stahl's time of 4:02.43 ranks him third in Division III in the 400 IM …. Stahl's time of 15:57.97 in the 1650 is also the third best time in the nation … junior Tyler Maggio is second on the squad in victories with three and he picked up a pair of thirds in the 100 and 200 breaststroke for the weekend … Maggio's time of 57.56 in the 100 breaststroke is the second best time in the CAC this year … Maggio's 200 breaststroke time of 2:05.70 is the best time in the conference through Sunday.
The Spartans are off until December 1 when they head to the Washington & Lee Invitational. The two-day event starts at 5:00 pm on Saturday afternoon and concludes Sunday.
