
ELIZABETHTOWN, PA – The York College men's soccer team posted it's third straight shutout as they had their second straight scoreless tie, this time with Elizabethtown on Saturday night in Elizabethtown. The Spartan defense has conceded just one goal so far this year as they now have a defensive scoreless streak of 382:25, dating back to the first half of the season opener at Eastern Mennonite.

How It Happened:
• The game was a defensive slugfest as the offenses were held in check for most of the evening. The Spartans had the better of the play in the opening 45 minutes as the Spartans outshot the Blue Jays 7-3. The three Blue Jay shots were all off target while York just managed two shots on frame.
• The Spartans again had the advantage in the second half, outshooting the Blue Jays 9-4 in the second 45 minutes including 3-1 in shots on goal. The Spartans had some chances early but the Blue Jay defense and goalie Kelvin Del Cid were up to the task.
• The two extra periods flowed in favor of the Blue Jays but York's back line and keeper Billy Bridegum were up to the task, preserving the tie and their third straight shutout.
