York is 7-6-5 all-time against the Captains … this was the first win for the Spartans over CNU since November 6, 2013 in the CAC tournament in penalty kicks and the first regular season victory over the Captains since October 5, 2013 in double overtime … senior Nathan Bilbie picked up his third goal of the season, which is in his last six games after missing the first eight matches to injury … the four shots were a season-low for the Spartan offense and only the second time they were held in single digits, however York is 2-0 in those games … Billy Bridegum picks up his fifth shutout on the year … York extends their unbeaten streak to seven matches in a row … the Spartans continue to be road warriors as they are now 7-1-1 away from Graham Field this season.
The Spartans remain on the road to take on the St. Mary's (Md.) Seahawks on Wednesday in another CAC bout. Kick-off slated for 3:30 pm in St. Mary's City, Md.
