Nick Roman Named the CAC Men's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week

YORK, PA - York College junior long stick midfielder Nick Roman has been named the Capital Athletic Conference Men's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week as announced by the league office on Monday morning. 

Roman led the Spartan defensive effort in a pair of Capital Athletic Conference wins including a win at #1 Salisbury on Wednesday.

In the win over the Gulls, Roman had five ground balls and a pair of caused turnovers in the 11-9 win over the previously unbeaten Salisbury.

He followed that performance with three ground balls in the Saturday win over Mary Washington as the Spartans finished the CAC with a perfect 6-0 mark.

Roman is second on the team in ground balls as he has scooped up 43 ground balls for the year. He also has registered 14 caused turnovers.
