• The Tigers got on the board first as they converted a Spartan turnover into the first goal of the game as Quinn Commandant scored at the 10:28 mark of the first quarter to give RIT the early advantage. York answered less than a minute later as Dylan Wolf converted a pass from Gunnar Reynolds, tying the score at one with 9:34 left in the quarter. The Green and White took a lead as Reynolds finished off a Brad Casale pass to put the Spartans up 2-1. York finished off the first quarter scoring with a Thomas Pfeiffer goal with 3:06 left as the Spartans led 3-1 after one quarter of play.

• RIT hit the Spartans with a four-goal flurry in the first seven minutes of the second quarter to take a 5-3 lead with 8:11 left in the half. Shawn Nally scored two of the four RIT goals on the run. Casale ended the Tiger run with a goal off an assist from Wolf to cut the Spartan deficit to one at the half.

• The third quarter was a struggle offensively for the first 11 minutes of the period. The Tigers held a 5-4 lead until Wolf notched an unassisted goal with 3:52 left in the quarter, tying the game at five. As quiet as the first 11 minutes of the quarter were, the final three minutes featured four goals as the Tigers took a lead they would not relinquish. Nally scored 1:06 after Wolf to give RIT a 6-5 lead. Cam Isaac scored 1:15 later to push the lead to 7-5. Nick Montemorano won the ensuing face off and raced in and scored seven seconds later as the Tiger lead grew to 8-5.  Pfeiffer stopped the bleeding with his 16th goal of the year with 46 seconds left the third, cutting the RIT lead to 8-6.

• The Tigers closed out the scoring with a man-up goal 1:40 into the fourth followed by a Cameron Gebhardt goal 42 seconds later to close out the scoring. The RIT defense limited York to just five fourth quarter shots as York was shutout in a quarter for just the second time this year.
