Bady Named to All-Middle Atlantic Region First Team

YORK, PA – York College senior guard Jason Bady records another postseason accolade as he was named to the All-Middle Atlantic first team on Monday morning as announced by the organization. The Spartan basketball program has now had first-team All-Region players in back-to-back seasons after Dalton Myers earned the honor a season ago.


Bady was joined on the first team by Swarthmore's Cam Wiley, the regional player-of-the-year, along with fellow Swarthmore forward Zac O'Dell, Christopher Newport's Marcus Carter, and Arcadia's Da'Kquan Davis.


This is another postseason accolade for Bady after leading the Spartans to a 22-8 record and a share of the Capital Athletic Conference Championship. The Spartans also reached the second round of the NCAA Division III Tournament for the second consecutive year. Bady was named the Capital Athletic Conference Player of the Year while being on a first-team all-CAC performer for the first time in his career. Bady was also selected to play in the NABC Reese's Division III Senior All-Star game at this weekend's Division III Final Four in Fort Wayne, Indiana.


Bady finished the year averaging 18.4 points, 7.6 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.6 steals, and 1.6 blocks per game. Bady shot 53.2% from the floor on the year, 33.8% from behind-the-arc, and 79.9% from the free throw line.


Bady scored in double figures in 27 of 30 games on the year, had ten 20-plus point performances, and three games of 30 or more points including setting a career high of 35 points at Salisbury on January 16 and then tying that career mark with another 35-point performance at home against Salisbury on February 6. He also recorded six double-doubles on the year.


Bady finished his stellar Spartan career with 1,154 points in 110 games, including 72 starts. He shot a career 48.6% from the floor, 30.7% from three, and 74.3% from the free throw line. Bady also finished his career grabbing 538 rebounds, dishing out 224 assists, grabbing 159 steals, and 80 blocked shots.


Bady is now eligible to earn All-American honors as well as all first team regional team members can be voted to the national teams. This year marked the 18th year the has recognized all-region teams.
