Oberholtzer Named the CAC Baseball Player of the Week

YORK, PA - York College senior centerfielder Grant Oberholtzer had a fantastic week for the Spartan baseball squad as he earned the Capital Athletic Conference Baseball Player of the Week as announced by the league office on Monday morning. 

Oberholtzer had a tremendous week for the Spartans as the Green and White 4-1 on the week. Oberholtzer went 11-for-24 for a .458 batting average on the season while picking up two doubles, one triple, one homer, and 8 RBI. He also scored 10 runs and stole five bases.

Oberholtzer started the week with a homerun and three RBI in the only loss of the week at Shenandoah. The following day, Oberholtzer picked up four hits including a triple and 3 more RBIs in the Spartans 12-7 win over Widener.

During the weekend, Oberholtzer torched the St. Mary's Seahawks going 6-for-14 and scoring six runs during the three-game sweep in conference play. In the series, Oberholtzer also had a pair of doubles, two RBI, and four stolen bases.

On the season, Oberholtzer is hitting .351 with three homers, 21 RBIs, and 27 runs scored. He also leads the team in stolen bases as he is a perfect 11-for-11 on the year.
