  • York Athletics Announces the 2019 Hall of Fame Class

    The York College Athletic Department is pleased to announce the 2019 Athletic Hall of Fame class has been selected for enshrinement in October. Jerry Bowne (wrestling), Amanda (Lomberg) Dion (women’s soccer), Kristen (Daly) Morris (women’s basketball), Josh Papsan (men’s lacrosse), Chris Ports (men’s soccer), and Jeff Young (baseball) comprise this year’s class, the 29th class in the history of the Athletic Hall of Fame.
  • Oberholtzer, Denlinger Named to ABCA/Rawlings All-Region Teams

    The York College baseball team received great news as the Spartans placed a pair of players on the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Rawlings Division III All-South Region team. Senior outfielder Grant Oberholtzer earned first-team honors while freshman shortstop Austin Denlinger was named to the second team.

    Senior outfielder Grant Oberholtzer continued to add to his postseason accolades on Thursday afternoon when it was announced by D3baseball.com that Oberholtzer was placed on the All-South Region first team. This is the second straight first-team selection for Oberholtzer.

    The York College baseball team had their 2019 campaign come to an end with a pair of defeats on day one of the CAC Tournament. York lost the opener 16-6 to Mary Washington and then fell 8-1 in game two to #2 Christopher Newport to eliminate them from the tournament.

    The York College baseball team will open its Capital Athletic Conference Tournament at Christopher Newport University in Newport News, Va. on Friday against the University of Mary Washington at 9:00 am followed by a matchup with Christopher Newport at either 12:30 pm or 4:00 pm depending on the result of game one.

    The York College baseball team completed a five-run comeback win scoring ten runs in the final three innings to snap a six-game losing streak to Rutgers-Camden. Conor Miller tossed 4.0 innings while allowing no runs out of the bullpen for the Spartans.
