YORK, Pa. – The York College women's cross country team competed in the Goucher Cross Country Classic Saturday afternoon.
Head coach Erick Camodeca elected to rest a number of runners in order to prepare for next weekend, which resulted in the Spartans only having four runners. Since there were only four runners the Green and White did not score as a team.
Emily Abell (Timonium, Md./Dulaney) was the first finisher of the day for the Spartans. Abell came in 30th place with a time of 27:35.90. Next to cross the finish line for York was Abby Reagan (Bethlehem, Pa./Liberty) at 28:05.80. Nichole Fox (Southampton, Pa./William Tennent) recorded a time of 29:45.90 and Stephanie Bower (Bel Air, Md./C. Milton Wright) finished with a time of 31:11.80.
The Spartans return to action Saturday when they race at the Christopher Newport Invitational. The race is set to begin at 12 p.m.
