Women's Cross Country Participates in Paul Short Invitational
BETHLEHEM, PA-The York College women’s cross country squad participated in the 2007 Brooks Paul Short Invitational hosted by Lehigh University on Friday in Bethlehem, PA. The Spartans did not have a complete team as only four York runners competed in the race. There were 240 runners that participated in the “White” race.
Sophomore Melody Parshall (Dover, Pa./Homeschooled) was the Spartans’ top finisher as she placed 89th with a time of 24:54. The Spartans’ next finisher was sophomore Terah Bloemer (Stewartstown, Pa./Kennard-Dale) as she placed 213th with a time of 28:35. She edged teammate Corey Hawks (Aberdeen, Md./Harford Tech) who recorded an almost identical time for a finish of 214th. Sophomore Tiffany Feudale (York, Pa./Spring Grove) was the fourth Spartan participant in the race as she placed 217th with a time of 29:30.
The Spartans return to action on Saturday, October 6 as they travel to the Goucher Invitational in Towson, Md.
