DOVER, DEL – The York College volleyball squad concluded their 2011 Capital Athletic Conference schedule with a 3-0 win at Wesley College on Friday evening in Dover, Delaware. The Spartans, winners of three straight, improve to 13-13 overall and 4-4 in the CAC. The Wolverines fall 5-21 overall and 0-6 in the league.
The game scores were 25-21, 25-16, and 26-24.
The Spartans were paced by junior Dani Mastroieni as she tallied a season-high 11 kills as she hit .233 for the match. She also had five digs and a block assist for York. Freshman Katie Huston and sophomore Jessica Moyer each added five kills to the Spartan offense. Senior setter Cortni Rentzel handed out 28 assists while she also had nine digs for York. Junior libero Ashley Rineman again led the Spartans' defensive charge with 15 digs in just two sets for York.
The Spartans have a short turn around as they will travel to Eastern University to face the Eagles and Randolph-Macon College. The Spartans face RMC at noon followed by a 2:00 pm match against the nationally ranked Eagles.
