Spartans Participate in Johns Hopkins-Loyola Invitational

BALTIMORE, MD – The York College women's track and field team finished 12th out of 17 teams at Saturday's Johns Hopkins University-Loyola University Invitational in Baltimore, MD.

The Spartans notched 15 team points in the meet.

York's best individual finish came from freshman Emily Cronise (Boonsboro, Md./Boonsboro) as she placed fifth in the 800. Cronise recorded a time of 2:18.57, .27 seconds back of fourth place.

Sophomore Bethany Miller (York, Pa./York Suburban) earned an eighth place finish in the pole vault. Miller registered a best vault of 3.05 meters.

Dana Mangano (Westminster, Md./Westminster) picked up a ninth place finish in the long jump as she recorded a best leap of 4.82 meters.

York fared well in a pair of relays. The Spartans won the 4x800 relay with a time of 10:21.17 while the 4x100 relay squad placed ninth with a time of 51.98.

The Spartans return to action next Saturday when they travel to the Greyhound Invitational hosted by Moravian College in Bethlehem.
