Women's Track Sends Light Squad to LVC Invite

ANNVILLE, Pa – In the second meet in as many days, the York College women's track and field team traveled to Lebanon Valley College for the LVC Invitational.

The team had a light crew at LVC but still had some notable performances.

In the mile, Abby Reagan (Bethlehem, Pa. / Liberty) ran a solid race finishing in 6:26.00 and then she turned around and ran the 3k in 12:38.41.

In the field events, Abbey Rhodes (Hanover, Pa. / Hanover) and Amanda Mackey (Whiteford, Md. / North Harford) combined to light up the throws.  In the shot, Mackey took 9th with a toss of 32-8.25 while Rhodes grabbed 5th with a heave of 35-3.75.  Mackey was able to toss the weight 28-3.75 while Rhodes tossed for 34-8.5. 

In the pole vault, Bethany Miller (York, Pa. / York Suburban) tied for second with a jump of 9-11.75.   

The Spartans return to action on January 31st at the Bucknell Open hosted by Bucknell University.
