Smith becomes the first Spartan women’s track & field student-athlete to qualify for the NCAA National Championships.

    Parshall Wins Sixth Track Title; Spartans Take Third at 2012 CAC Outdoor Championships The York College women's track & field team captured third place overall at the 2012 Capital Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships hosted by Frostburg St. University. The two-day meet concluded Sunday with the Spartans in third with 121 points, just three shy of runner-up Mary Washington, while Salisbury snagged the top spot with 255 points.

    Miller Establishes New 10K Program Mark; York in Third Place Overall The York College women’s track & field squad finished the first day of competition at the 2012 Capital Athletic Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships – hosted by Frostburg St. – with a individual victory, a second-place nod, and runners qualify for finals in a pair of sprints. Overall, the Spartans sit third out of the six participating institutions, as the Green and White has amassed 27 points.

    Spartan Track & Field Hosts Intersquad Alumni Challenge The York College track & field squad hosted the Green & White Intersquad Alumni Challenge on Saturday prior to officially kicking off their 2012 outdoor campaign next weekend. Featuring current and former York College men’s and women’s track & field athletes, the meet provided a solid yet relaxed tune-up for the Spartans. On the day, the women’s “green” team picked up the victory with 96 points while the men’s “white” team proved triumphant with 68 points.

In a meet which head coach Erick Camodeca said was used as a fine-tuning session for several student-athletes, the Spartans utilized the meet as their final competitive preparation for next Sunday’s first-ever Capital Athletic Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships.

The Spartans finished tied for 18th on the day with three points.
