YORK, Pa. – York College women's track & field freshman Kenyatta Redman has been named the Capital Athletic Conference Women's Track Athlete-of-the-Week after her strong showing at two meets.
The Spartan rookie sprinter collected the triumph in the 200-meter dash at the Lebanon Valley Invitational last Friday. She crossed the line first with a time of 27.45 to take the victory. Redman also snagged second in the 100 meters by clocking a 13.15.
At Saturday's West Chester Golden Ram Invitational, Redman helped the Green and White's 4x100 squad to a second-place overall finish with a 51.49. Individually, she posted an 12.94 time in the 100-meter dash as she took fifth.
Redman and the Spartans return to action on Saturday, March 26. The Green and White will send competitors to the Goucher Track & Field Classic as well as the Towson Invitational. Both meets are slated for a 10:00 am start.
