Spartan Women Open Fall Campaign with a Victory at Goucher

TOWSON, MD – The York College women's tennis team opened their 2017 fall campaign with an 8-1 road win at Goucher College on Thursday afternoon in Towson, Maryland.

Senior Katie Wagner picked up her school-record 33rd singles victory with her 6-3, 6-0 first singles win … the win for Rachel Wagner was her 20th career win ... Rachel Wagner is 20-7 at second singles as she has started her junior campaign ... the Spartans have won five straight against the Gophers in the series … Goucher's last win came on October 6, 2012 … the match starts a string of six matches in the next nine days.
