TOWSON, Md. – The York College women's tennis squad fell 6-3 to host Goucher Wednesday afternoon in Towson, Md. With the non-conference loss, the Spartans drop to 4-7 on the season while the Gophers improve to 10-5.
Two of York's three points came via doubles victories as the Green and White took both the second and third spots. Megan McCullin and Emily Price combined at second doubles for the tight 9-7 triumph as the pair is now 2-0 together this season. In the third spot, Arcondia Vlahos and Nicole Olson nabbed an 8-5 victory to add a point to the Spartan ledger.
Price tallied another point for the Green and White at sixth singles. The Spartan rookie garnered a straight set 6-3, 6-0 win to improve to 2-1 this year.
York is slated to return to the court on Monday, April 9, when they host Stevenson in a 3:30 pm Capital Athletic Conference match.
