2011-12: Begins her junior season having experienced success on the college level ... part of York's quality relay squads and saw individual success as well last season ... is an excellent sprint and middle distance freestyler ... competitive in the pool ... her diligence in her approach to swimming should pay off in the form of better times and finishes this season.
2010-11: Started the season by posting a 5:56.15 on November 5 against Mary Washington and Hood in the 500 free … continued her success on December 4 in a tri-meet with Salisbury and Goucher by recording a 26.49 in the 50 free … posted three season best times in a successful CAC Championship effort … posted her first CAC individual medal when she placed second in the 100 freestyle with a 55.84 … continued on to post a time of 2:00.73 in the 200 free and a 1:04.50 in the 100 backstroke ... part of York's third-place 800 freestyle relay (8:19.33) at the CAC Championships.
2009-10: In her impressive rookie season, Chelsea swam season bests in the 50, 100,and 200 free. In the 50 free she swam to a 26.51, the the 100 free she swam to a 55.46 and in the 200 she swam to a 2:01.93. At CAC championships she placed 5th in the 100 and 8th in the 200. She was also a part of the 2nd place 800 free relay and 3rd place 400 free relay.
Personal: Is a nursing major with a minor in psychology ... is the daughter of Danny and Janet Ross ... born on July 8, 1991 ... swam on the club level for the Upper Main Line YMCA ... is a Joey Guest Scholarship winner ... names Kathy Murphy as the person she most admires ... hobbies include watching television, shopping, sleeping, and eating ... favorite athlete is Ryan Howard ... chose York because she liked the natatorium in the Grumbacher Sport & Fitness Center ... lists her most significant athletic achievement as qualifying for the YMCA Spring Nationals ... her most memorable athletic moment while at York was medaling in the 100 freestyle at the 2011 Capital Athletic Conference Championships ... after graduation she plans on becoming a nurse practitioner and working at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
