MacLennan Named Spartan Athlete-of-the-Week
Heather MacLennan was just chosen as the latest Spartan Athlete-of-the-Week after her excellent performance during the weekend's 2010 CAC Swimming Championships.

MacLennan Claims 200 Back; Spartans Finish Fourth
Sophomore Heather MacLennan captured the 200 backstroke title in the final day of the 2010 Capital Athletic Conference Championships. In total, the Spartans finished fourth in the league, their best finish in over a decade, as the young Spartans gained valuable experience.

Medal-stand finishes and broken records marked day two of the York College women’s swimming squad’s 2010 Capital Athletic Conference Championships. In the first day of preliminaries in the morning followed by finals in the evening, due to yesterday’s one session of timed finals, the Spartans had eight top-eight finishes.

Spartans Break Three School-Records in CAC Championships' Opening Day
The York College women’s swimming team, officially began the 2010 Capital Athletic Conference swimming championships Friday evening at St. Mary’s College of Maryland. The Spartans smashed three school records in just the first day of competition including a pair of relay events.

Spartans Send Seniors Off with Big Victory
The York College women's swim team sent their five seniors out winners as the Green and White rolled to a 203-36 victory over Frostburg State University on Saturday afternoon in York. The Spartans concluded their 2009-2010 regular season with a mark of 8-5.

Ursinus Tops Spartans in Non-Conference Action
After a cruising victory yesterday, the York College women’s swimming team was unable to sustain that momentum as they fell to Ursinus 140-119 Saturday in Collegeville, Pa. The Spartans now stand at 7-5 on the season while the Bears hold a strong 8-1 mark.

Spartans All Smiles in Their First Meet of 2010
The York College women’s swimming team returned to the pool in triumphant fashion Friday evening besting visiting College of Notre Dame (Md.) by a 138-39 result. The victory improves the Spartan record to 7-4 overall for the season.

Bean and Minsky Named CAC Swimmers-of-the-Week
The York College men’s and women’s swimming team received outstanding news Tuesday as a pair of Spartans were selected as the Capital Athletic Conference’s swimmers of the week. Junior AJ Bean secured the accolade on the men’s side while freshman Alex Minsky nabbed the women’s honor.

The York College women’s swim team doused Gallaudet University and Penn State-Altoona Saturday afternoon in York, to move to 6-4 overall and finish their Capital Athletic Conference regular-season schedule with a record of 3-3.

Marauders Down Spartans in Dual Meet
Coming off last night’s pair of victories, the York College women’s swimming team could not ride that momentum as they fell 117.5-87.5 at Millersville University Saturday afternoon. Despite the loss, sophomore Heather MacLennan picked up a pair of individual wins while leading off York’s triumphant 400 freestyle relay squad.

York Ends Drought Against Salisbury; Move to 3-3
The York College women's swimming team saw their record improve to 3-3 Friday evening as the Spartans topped visiting Salisbury and Goucher. The Green and White used six wins throughout the meet, including an outstanding 200 freestyle relay triumph, to secure the two victories.

The York College women’s swimming team dropped a 134-71 result to host and Capital Athletic Conference foe St. Mary’s College of Maryland Saturday afternoon. The Spartans did however collect a trio of first-place finishes as they continue to work toward the CAC Championships in mid-February.

Marymount Edges Spartan Ladies by Five in CAC Meet
The York College women’s swim team dropped a tough 105-100 Capital Athletic Conference decision to Marymount University in Arlington, VA on Saturday afternoon. The Spartans fall to 1-2 overall and 1-2 in the CAC while the Saints improve to 1-2 overall and 1-2 in the conference.

The York College women’s swim team (1-1, 1-1 CAC) opened up their 2009 campaign with a Capital Athletic Conference tri-meet victory over visiting Hood College (0-3, 0-2 CAC), 208-38 while taking a loss to perennial power the University of Mary Washington Eagles (4-1, 3-0 CAC), 188-73.
