How It Happened:

• The Spartans struck early in the game when Rachel Wilhelm was on the receiving end of a Caitlin Rankin cross and was able to find the back of the net to give York an early 1-0 lead.

• Shots were hard to come by and York's defense held the Eagles to only three shots in the first 45 minutes, helping the Spartans take a 1-0 lead into the halftime break.

• The Eagles came out aggressively in the second half and were able to finally crack the stellar Spartan defense as Abby Zimmerman scored of an assist from Lindsey Hendrickson tying the game up 1-1 with 20 minutes to play in regulation.

• Following a Spartan yellow card, Hendrickson stepped up to bury a penalty kick with only 57 seconds left in the match to steal a 2-1 win late for the Eagles.
