Women's Soccer Honored by the NSCAA

YORK, PA – The York College women's soccer team has been honored by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America for academic success during the 2009-10 season as announced recently by the organization.

The Spartans, under the guidance of head coach Vicki Sterner, accumulated a team GPA of 3.33 during a year when they went 14-5-1 and 6-1-1 in the Capital Athletic Conference.

York had the highest GPA of any women's team in the CAC as Stevenson and St. Mary's also appeared in the list of teams attaining a 3.0 team GPA or above for the season.

It is the second time in Sterner's tenure that the Spartans have reached the 3.0 team GPA milestone. York was honored in 2005 for academic success.
