2010: Enters her senior year as one of the top players in the Capital Athletic Conference . . . is a talented player that is also an extremely hard worker . . . is a Spartan co-captain for the second straight year . . . has the ability to finish around the cage while she is also able to create for her teammates . . . is a natural leader that is like having another coach on the field . . . has 17 goals and 19 assists for 53 points in her 64 career games.
2009: Played in and started all 20 Spartan contests . . . led the Spartans in scoring with 24 points on eight goals and eight assists . . . earned first-team All-Capital Athletic Conference accolades for her efforts . . . finished the year with 11 points on four goals and three assists in the Spartans’ eight CAC contests . . . had a season-high five points with two goals and an assist in the October 9 win at Marymount . . . had three games with a goal and an assist as the Spartans went 3-0 in those contests . . . had 59 shots with 50.8% (30 shots) of those attempts coming on goal.
2008: Played in all 20 matches for York, earning a start in 18 of those contests . . . tallied four goals and six assists for 14 points as she was second on the team in scoring . . . had seven points on two goals and three assists in the October 14 win over Gallaudet . . . registered two assists in the October 25 win over Wesley . . . scored a goal in the Spartans’ 2-1 CAC first round win over Mary Washington and followed that with a goal in the Spartans’ CAC semifinal tie with Salisbury, a game York won in penalty kicks. . . had 46 total shots and 26 shots on goal for the year.
2007: Played in all 24 of the Spartans’ contest during their run to the NCAA Division III Sweet 16 . . . started 22 contests during her stellar freshman campaign . . . was the Spartans’ fourth leading scorer with 15 points on five goals and five assists . . . picked up her first collegiate points with an assist in the September 12 game against Dickinson . . . made her first collegiate goal a memorable one as she recorded the game-winner in the 2-1 victory over Mary Washington on September 22 . . . had three point games with a goal and two assists against Marymount on October 12 and again on November 10 in the 2-1 NCAA First Round win at Richard Stockton . . . recorded team-high four game-winning goals for the season.
Personal: Is the daughter of George and Joyce Mergler . . . is a nursing major . . . plays her club soccer for GHSC Lightning . . . is one of the Spartans’ outstanding students as she owns a 3.76 cumulative GPA . . . has been on the Dean’s List in all six of her previous semesters . . . has earned a spot on the CAC All-Academic team in each of her three seasons in addition to being selected to the York College Athletic Honor Roll three times.
