YORK, PA – York College women’s soccer midfielder
Carly Bock (Baltimore, Md./Catonsville) captured a
pair of honors this week as she has been named Capital Athletic
Conference Women’s Soccer Player-of-the-Week for her work
from October 5-11. Bock’s league accolade comes on the heels
of her Spartan Athlete-of-the-Week selection on Monday.
Bock had a stellar week for the Green and White as she tallied one goal and a trio of assists in the Spartans’ three victories.
In Sunday’s CAC contest with rival Salisbury, Bock provided an exceptional offensive performance tally a goal and an assist. She notched the equalizer in the game’s 57th minute of play before striking a lofted back post cross to Stephanie Rice (Glen Rock, Pa./Susquehannock) for the game-winner with only 6:17 left in the second overtime.
Bock’s also registered a helper on Tuesday against Franklin & Marshall in York’s 3-1 win over the Diplomats before adding another in the Green and White’s 5-1 triumph over CAC foe Marymount last Friday.
Bock and the Spartans square off with CAC counterpart Gallaudet in a 4:00 p.m, tilt today at Graham Field. York then returns to action on Thursday as they play host to Gettysburg in a 4:00 p.m. non-conference match.
