Bock Named CAC Women's Soccer Player-of-the-Week
YORK, PA – York College women’s soccer midfielder
Carly Bock (Baltimore, Md./Catonsville) captured a
pair of honors this week as she has been named Capital Athletic
Conference Women’s Soccer Player-of-the-Week for her work
from October 5-11. Bock’s league accolade comes on the heels
of her Spartan Athlete-of-the-Week selection on Monday.
Bock had a stellar week for the Green and White as she tallied one
goal and a trio of assists in the Spartans’ three
victories.
In Sunday’s CAC contest with rival Salisbury, Bock provided
an exceptional offensive performance tally a goal and an assist.
She notched the equalizer in the game’s 57th minute of play
before striking a lofted back post cross to Stephanie Rice
(Glen Rock, Pa./Susquehannock) for the game-winner with
only 6:17 left in the second overtime.
Bock’s also registered a helper on Tuesday against Franklin
& Marshall in York’s 3-1 win over the Diplomats before
adding another in the Green and White’s 5-1 triumph over CAC
foe Marymount last Friday.
Bock and the Spartans square off with CAC counterpart Gallaudet in
a 4:00 p.m, tilt today at Graham Field. York then returns to action
on Thursday as they play host to Gettysburg in a 4:00 p.m.
non-conference match.
