Sarah Spanarkel comes into her sophomore year as the front-runner for the Spartan starting goalkeeping job. She earned the starting netminder job late last fall and performed well for York as she notched a 0.58 goals against average in her 462 minutes of action. Spanarkel went 2-1-1 in her four starts as she recorded a .786 save percentage. Spanarkel brings a solid technical ability to the Spartan net, but she will need to grow as a leader of the Spartan defense.
