Women's Soccer To Be Honored at Halftime Wednesday
The York College women’s soccer squad will have their 2007
Capital Athletic Conference banner unveiled at halftime of the
Spartan men’s basketball game against Salisbury on Wednesday
night. The Spartans, who advanced to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA
Tournament, earned their first CAC championship on November 3 as
they defeated Salisbury 2-0 in the conference championship
game.
The Spartans concluded the 2007 campaign with a mark of 15-6-3
including two wins in the NCAA Tournament. York did not allow a
goal en route to their conference crown as they outscored their
three opponents by a combined 7-0 margin.
Wednesday's basketball action against Salisbury begins with the
women’s game at 6:00 pm followed by the men’s tip off
at 8:00 pm. The women’s soccer ceremony will come at halftime
of the men’s contest.
