Spartan Wrestlers Get it Done on the Mat and in the Classroom
The York College wrestling team nabbed yet another post season honor following the 2008-2009 campaign as the Spartans have finished 11th in the nation this season in the Scholar Academic Team national standings. Eleven members of the Spartan squad posted a cumulative 3.357 grade point average, good for the 11th-place ranking.

All-American Thomason Finishes 8th at Nationals
York College junior wrestler Brian Thomason capped his stellar 2008-2009 campaign Saturday at the NCAA wrestling championships after collecting All-American honors on Friday. Thomason, who came in eighth-place at the national tournament, finishes the year with an outstanding 30-7 record.

York College junior wrestler Brian Thomason made his mark at the 2009 NCAA Championships Friday as the 174-pounder planted his name firmly into York’s record books becoming the Spartans’ 20th All-American.
