EWING, N.J. – The eighth-ranked York College wrestling squad earned a hard fought 20-19 road win at #17 TCNJ on Friday night in Ewing, New Jersey.
The Spartans improve to 2-0 on the dual meet season while the Lions fall to 0-1.

The Spartans got off on the right foot as freshman Jared Kuhns picked up a 12-2 major decision as the Green and White took an early 4-0 lead. Kuhns improves to 10-1 with his third major decision win of the year. Kuhns is ranked seventh in the country at 125 pounds.
The Lions picked up a major decision and a win by fall in the 133 and the 141 bouts as TCNJ took a 10-4 lead. TCNJ's Jake Giordano is ranked ninth in the country at 133 pounds as he earned a 9-1 major decision.
Senior All-American Greg Warner put together another strong performance as he earned a 13-4 major decision win over Anthony Gagliano. Warner is now 10-2 as the major decision was his fourth win of the year. Warner is ranked third in the nation at 149 pounds.
Sophomore Eric Hutchinson gave the Spartans a lead they would not relinquish as he earned a 14-7 win over Dominic Fano in a high scoring bout. Hutchinson improves to 8-2 for the year.
Junior Jackson Drum increased the Spartan lead as he earned a close 5-3 win over Mark Gerstacker to put York up 14-10 through six weight classes. Drum's win was his eighth of the year.
After the Lions trimmed the Spartan lead to one at 14-13 with a decision at 174. Senior Frankie Krauss kept the Spartans rolling as he earned an exciting 3-2 win at 184 pounds. The win keeps Krauss perfect as he is 10-0 while he is ranked fifth in the nation.
Senior Hasan Alic closed out the win with a 5-0 decision over Alex Mirabella, giving York a cliniching 20-13 lead. Alic, who is now 10-1 at 197 pounds, is ranked fifth in the country at the weight class.
The Lions got an injury forfeit at heavyweight to conclude the scoring as it wasn't enough to overcome the six Spartan wins in the meet. The Spartans have won four straight against the Lions and are 4-1 against TCNJ during the tenure of head coach Duane Bastress.
The Spartans return home for an exhibition match against Bergen Community College on Saturday afternoon. The match is slated for a 1:00 pm start at the M&T Bank Field House.
