    YORK, Pa. – The York College women’s lacrosse team jumped on Frostburg State University early to cruise to a 22-4 victory on Wednesday evening at Kinsley Field in Capital Athletic Conference play. It was the third time in consecutive games that the Spartans scored at least 21 goals, matching the second-most scored in a game in school history.

    YORK, Pa. – The York College women’s lacrosse team celebrated Senior Day with an impressive 21-12 triumph over Christopher Newport University on Saturday afternoon at Kinsley Field in Capital Athletic Conference competition. Seniors Melissa Meehling and Charlotte Wright put together career performances as Meehling finished with four points on three goals and an assist while Wright turned away 14 shots in net for the Green and White.
  • Hursey's School-Record Nine Assists Push York to Road Win

    ST. MARY’S CITY, Md. – The York College women’s lacrosse team unleashed 22 goals on St. Mary’s (Md.) College, just one off the school record, to defeat the Seahawks 22-12 on the road in Capital Athletic Conference play on Wednesday evening. Devin Hursey dished out a school-record nine assists, and finished with a record-matching 11 points in the win, while Regan Cook notched nine points on six goals, tied for the fourth-most in a game all time.

    The ninth ranked York College women’s lacrosse squad earned their third straight win as they picked up a tough 9-7 Capital Athletic Conference road win at the fifth ranked University of Mary Washington Eagles on Friday afternoon in Fredericksburg, Virginia.

    YORK, Pa. – The York College women’s lacrosse team controlled Wesley College to win 20-1 at Kinsley Field on Wednesday evening in Capital Athletic Conference action. Thirteen different players scored for the Spartans as Charlotte Wright and Abby Smith combined to allow just one goal for the Wolverines. York was efficient on the offensive end, putting 26 of its 28 shots on goal, leading to a season-high 20 goals on the afternoon.

    CARLISLE, Pa. – The York College women’s lacrosse team put together a complete performance in its 13-4 victory over Dickinson College on the road on Friday evening in non-conference action. Meghan Fox and Regan Cook each scored four goals to put fifth-ranked York back in the win column after consecutive losses. Charlotte Wright and Abby Smith combined to make 12 saves on 16 shots on goal to stifle the Red Devils, who were held to just four goals after finishing with 15 in a win over Bryn Mawr on Tuesday.
  • Spartans Comeback Falls Short

    WASHINGTON, D.C. – The York College women’s lacrosse team dropped its second game in a row, falling to Catholic University 14-13 on the road in non-conference action on Tuesday. The Spartans scored the final four goals of the game, but the Cardinals’ five consecutive goals in a matter of 4:38 through the middle portion of the second half proved to be too much to comeback from.

    OSWEGO, N.Y. – The York College women’s lacrosse team jumped out to an early 4-0 lead to defeat SUNY Oswego 13-6 on the road in non-conference action on Saturday. Meghan Fox and Devin Hursey combined for 11 points on the afternoon, helping York to a victory in its first road game of the season.
  • Fox's Eight Goals, Meehling's Game Winner Take Down No. 3 Trinity in Double OT

    YORK, Pa. – The York College women’s lacrosse team battled back from a 7-1 first-half deficit to upend third-ranked Trinity College 16-15 in double overtime at Kinsley Field on Thursday night. Melissa Meehling converted on her free-position shot, her third goal of the game, with 1:52 to play in the second overtime period, avenging a York loss from the national quarterfinals a season ago. The ninth-ranked Spartans were paced by Meghan Fox’s eight goals, matching the second-most in a game in school history and Nicole Clauter’s 12 draw controls, a school record.

    YORK, Pa. – The York College women’s lacrosse team scored four of the first five goals of the game, but fell to Messiah College 12-11 in overtime in non-conference action on Friday night at Kinsley Field. Devin Hursey and Kayleigh Phillips combined for eight points, but Messiah opened the second half with four goals in the first 10 minutes to completely switch the momentum of the contest.
