YORK, Pa. - York College women's lacrosse defender Jordan Hall has been chosen as the latest Capital Athletic Confernence Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week. Garnering the award for the second time this season, Hall helped lead the Spartans to a 2-0 week including a CAC Tournament victory over St. Mary's (Md.).
Against Frostburg on Tuesday, the Green and White snagged a 15-5 triumph to close out the regular season. York then traveled to St. Mary's (Md.) on Sunday where they captured a 10-7 CAC Tournament triumph over the fourth-seeded Seahawks.
Over those two contests, Hall helped lead a defensive unit that only surrendered 12 goals over 120 minutes of play. She also collected a trio of ground balls for the week. This is Hall second weekly conference honor of the season as she was also named the league's Defensive Player of the Week back in late February.
York now stands at 13-3 on the season and are one of only a handful of NCAA Division III programs to have eclipsed the 13-win mark thus far in 2011. The Spartans will attempt to stretch that mark to 14-3 when they travel to Salisbury for the CAC Tournament semifinals against the Sea Gulls on Tuesday, April 19, at 4:00 pm.
