Wayson Named CAC Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player-Of-The-Week

YORK, Pa. – York College sophomore attack Kim Wayson has been chosen as the Capital Athletic Conference Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player-of-the-Week. 

Wayson lead the Spartans to two consecutive wins as the team headed south to face Oneonta St. and Rochester Institue of Technology 15-5 in the Virgin Islands.  The Green and White out-scored their two opponents 29-13 in the two-game Caribbean road trip.

Wayson lead all scorers with six goals in the game against Oneonta St. including the game-tying goal in the Spartan's com-from-behind win.  In the second tilt against RIT, Wayson lead all scores again with five goals with 11 shots on goal, and also collected four ground balls.

For the season, Wayson is currently ranks second in the CAC with 20 goals and fourth in points with 23.  Wayson's stellar efforts has helped the women's lacrosse team to their first 4-0 start in program history. 

Wayson and the Spartans resume play on Tuesday, March 8, as they return home to face non-conference foe Dickinson in a 4:00 pm tilt at Kinsley Field.
