How It Happened:

• The Spartans got off to a good start in their first game in 15 days as the Green and White sprinted out to a 5-0 lead. The Rams answered with a 12-3 run to push out to a 12-8 lead just under six minutes into the game. The Spartans scored six of the final eight points of the period as the two teams were tied at 14 at the end of the first period of play.

• With the game tied at 18, York went on a 13-3 run to push out to a 31-21 lead with 2:46 left in the half. The run was aided by three pointers from Katie Wagner and Beth Wiseley as York appeared to seize control of the game. The Rams answered with four points on 4-of-6 free throw shooting to trim the Spartan lead to six at 31-25 at the break.

• York opened the second half with a Morgan Kuehne jumper to push the lead back to eight and the teams would trade baskets over the next two and a half minutes as York led 37-30 with 7:29 left in the quarter. The Rams then embarked on a 20-2 run over the final 6:33 of the quarter, turning their seven-point deficit into an 11 point (50-39) lead.

• The Green and White cut the Rams' lead to 52-45 on a pair of Wagner free throws with 8:17 left in the game but Framingham State drilled three pointers on back-to-back possessions to push the lead back to 13. The Rams lead would grow to a game-high 15 (64-49) midway through the quarter. York made one last push, cutting the Rams lead to six at 58-64 thanks to a 9-0 run. That would be as close as the Spartans would get as the Rams went to the line ten times, making nine, over the final 1:04 to salt away the win.

• Framingham State went 15-for-18 from the line in the second half including 11-for-14 in the fourth quarter.
