Brittany Hicks Named the CAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week

YORK, PA - York College senior All-American Brittany Hicks (Dover, Pa./York Catholic) was named the Capital Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Player the Week for the week ending December 8 as announced Monday by the conference office.

Hicks earned the award as she led the undefeated Spartans to a pair of CAC wins over PSU Harrisburg and 14th ranked Christopher Newport.

In the Spartans' win over CNU, Hicks poured in a game-high 21 points while she also pulled in 10 rebounds for her fourth double-double of the year. She was 6-for-13 from the floor including 2-for-3 from three and 7-for-7 from the free throw line.

In the win over Harrisburg, Hicks tallied 15 points and nine rebounds in her 25 minutes of work. Hicks was 6-for-10 from the floor and 3-for-6 from the charity stripe. Hicks also blocked a career-high four shots.
Hicks averaged 18 points and 9.5 rebounds per game as she shot 52.2% from the floor, 50% from three, and 76.9% from the free throw line.
She is the second Spartan to earn the award this season as teammate Kristen Haley (Silver Spring, Md./Georgetown Visitation) earned the award on November 25.
