Wallpher Named the CAC Player of the Week

YORK, PA - York College junior point guard Aja Wallpher (Ellicott City, Md./Seton Keough) was named the Capital Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the week ending December 30 as announced by the league office on Monday.

Wallpher was named the MVP of the Sixth Coaches vs. Cancer Classic this past weekend as the #11/#12 Spartans remained perfect with a pair of wins.

In the victory over Wheaton, Wallpher had 14 points, seven assists, nine steals, and four rebounds in the 55-54 win over the Lyons.

In the championship game win over TCNJ, Wallpher had 11 points, nine assists, five steals, three rebounds, and a blocked shot.

For the weekend, Wallpher averaged 12.5 points, 8.0 assists, 7.0 steals, and 3.5 rebounds per game. She shot 69.2% from the floor and was 7-for-8 from the free throw line.

She is the second Spartan to earn the conference award this year.
