Hicks Named CAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week

YORK, PA - York College sophomore forward Brittany Hicks (Dover, Pa./York Catholic) was named the CAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week after averaging 13.5 points, 13.0 rebounds and recording a double-double in each game, leading the Spartans to a pair of CAC victories to solidify their hold on second place in the conference standings. Hicks had 15 points and a career-high 15 rebounds in a midweek victory at Hood. She was 5-for-10 from the floor and 5-for-6 from the line en route to her 15 points.

Against Salisbury, Hicks registered 12 point and 11 rebounds for her fifth double-double of the season and sixth of her career as the Spartans downed the Sea Gulls in a battle for second place in the conference. Hicks was 3-for-6 from the floor including 1-for-2 from three while she also nailed five of her seven free throw attempts. 

For the week, Hicks shot 50% from the floor and 76.9% (10-for-13) from the free throw line.

For the season, she is averaging 12.1 points and 7.9 rebounds per game as she is shooting 42% from the floor and 80.9% from the free throw line.
