    Sparkman Named WBCA All-American York College senior women’s basketball player April Sparkman has been named a 2012 WBCA Honorable Mention All-American as announced by the organization on Friday. Sparkman becomes the third Spartan in the history of the program to earn the WBCA accolade.

The Spartans conclude their season with a mark of 24-6 while the undefeated Lord Jeffs advance to the round of eight with a perfect 30-0 mark.

As a team, the Green and White shot an incredible 76.9% in the first half and finished at 66.0% for the game to move to 24-5 on the season.

The Spartans, 23-5, move on to face the winner of host Juniata and Castleton St., while the Bearcats close out their campaign with a 22-7 record.

The Spartans bested the Elizabethtown College Blue Jays 64-57 to take the title.
