The Spartans won game one 5-0 and then concluded the sweep with a 12-0, four inning win in the second contest.
The Spartans improve to 7-1 overall while the Owls fall to 0-2.
In game one, Spartan starter Brittany Therres was brilliant as the junior allowed just two hits with one walk and six strikeouts as she tossed her second shutout of the year. Therres improves to 4-1 with the victory.
The Spartans got all the runs Therres would need in the third as senior Michelle Barwick stroked a two-out, two-run double to give the Green and White the 2-0 lead. The lead grew to 3-0 on a bases loaded walk to senior Desiree Halaka in the fourth inning.
York closed out the scoring in the fifth on a two-run home run from Brittany Schlorff as the Spartan lead stood at 5-0.

Lainey Herring had the Owls only two hits of the game.
In the nightcap, the Spartans ripped off a three-run top of the first inning to take the early lead. The Green and White blew the game wide open in the second as they plated seven runs. A trio of Presque Isle errors aided the Spartan uprising.
York added single runs in the third and fourth innings to close out the scoring.
Freshman Chelsea Bock earned the win as she tossed four shutout innings, scattering two hits with five strikeouts and no walks. She improves to 3-0 with the victory, as the shutout is her second of the year.
The Spartans banged out 12 hits in the game led by sophomore Hannah Hugel as she was 3-for-4 with three runs scored from her leadoff position. Seniors Kelly Smith and Karen Carr and sophomore Rachel Klein each had a hit, two RBI and a run scored for the Spartan offense.
