2011: Enters her first season in the Green and White as she comes to the Spartan program from Raritan High School in New Jersey … is a catcher that has worked very hard in the off-season to put herself in the Spartan catching plans … she has good instincts behind the plate and is willing to work hard to continue to improve … is a natural leader that should become more vocal as she gains collegiate experience … at the plate, has the ability to put the ball in play with good bat control … has a good understanding of the game … earned various awards throughout high school as she was named to the second-team All-Shore League twice and second-team All-Conference in addition to earning a spot on the Coaches’ Team twice … names her brother Ed Martin as the person she most admires … lists John Valentin and former LSU catcher Killian Roessner as her favorite athletes … is an early childhood education/special education major … is the daughter of Edward and Patricia Martin.
