YORK, PA – Heather Bormann (Brick, N.J./Brick
Memorial), senior captain for the York College softball
team has been selected as the Spartan Athlete-of-the-Week on March
22.
During the week, the 2009 All-Capital Athletic Conference
selection, helped lead the Spartans to a 6-0 record with twin bill
sweeps over Susquehanna University, Juniata College, and Mt.
Aloysius.
The shortstop hit a blistering .600 on a 9-for-15 performance at
the plate. Bormann finished the week tallying nine RBI’s to
go along with seven runs scored while slugging a preposterous
1.133.
Bormann’s best game came against Juniata when she hit 3-3
while scoring two runs and knocking in three RBI’s.
Borman and the Green and White will look to continue their
outstanding 17-1 start to the season against CAC conference foe
Stevenson on Wednesday, March 24, with the first of the two games
slated for a 3:30 p.m. start.
