Lindsay Wood begins her third year in the Green and White looking to break into the starting lineup as one of York’s corner outfielders. Wood is an experiened player after seeing action in 26 games last year. She hit .255 in 55 at-bats last year. Wood had 10 runs scored, nine RBI, six doubles and a triple for York. She owned a .317 on-base percentage while she registered a .400 slugging percentage. At the plate, Wood has the potential to drive the ball to the gaps and has shown she can hit the ball out of the park. She also does a good job of handling the bat and putting the ball in play. Wood is a criminal justice major and is the daughter of Gary and Linda Wood.
