Sam Lawrence begins her junior year as a key cog in the Spartan lineup. Lawrence, a two-time All-CAC selection, enters the season as one of the top outfielders in the CAC and the region. She finished last year hitting .351 with 21 runs scored, 15 RBI, and a team-high 19 stolen bases. Lawrence is one of the top base stealing threats in the nation as she is 50-for-54 in her first two years in the green and white. Lawrence will hit closer to the middle of the lineup this year after showing improved power in the fall season. She is a very athletic player that covers tremendous ground in centerfield. Lawrence is a hard-nosed player that brings a strong passion to the Spartan squad. Lawrence is a nursing major and is the daughter of Bob and Donna Lawrence.
